Production SeasonFor The Love of Three Oranges
The One Act Play, For The Love of Three Oranges, will be presented October 12, 13 & 14 at 7 pm. Performances will be at The John Vernadoe Theatre at SAA. Under the direction of Mr. Poole, the cast will take this hilarious comedy to the Georgia High School Association State One-Act Competition to represent Savannah Arts Academy. The Prom, The Musical The poignant and funny The Prom, The Musical will be presented on November 16, 17 & 18 at 7pm. Performances will be at Savannah Arts Academy. The musical will be directed by Mr. Tucker. Ticket Sales: saa.booktix.com Picnic, by William Inge SAA REP, under the direction of Mr. Lundin will present, Picnic, a play that features relationship challenges and the impact choices have on individuals. Picnic will be present on January 11, 12, and 13 at 7 p.m. at SAA. One Act Festival The Student Directed One Act Festival will take place March 1st and 2nd at 7 p.m. at SAA. Winning plays will be submitted to the Georgia Southern One Act Competition in the spring. Cabaret The Musical Theatre class will present a spring cabaret of popular musical theatre songs and dancing on January 18th. The Cabaret will be presented at SAA. Romeo & Juliet SAA REP will present it's second production of the year with the classic play, Romeo & Juliet. The play will be presented at SAA on March 22 at 7 and March 23 at 2 & 7 p.m. The REP class is working on its interpretation of the play, but we don't want to give anything away. ConferencesThescon
The International Thespian Society (ITS), founded in 1929, is an honorary organization for high school and middle school theatre students located at more than 4,200 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad. Georgia's chapter holds a statewide conference each year in February where high school thespians can attend workshops, compete in design, performance, and tech challenges, audition for colleges, and of course, see live theatre. February 1-3, 2024 at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. SETC The Southeastern Theatre Conference is a wonderful conference that hosts professional workshops, professional auditions for summer theatre, graduate school auditions, multiple play festivals, keynote speakers, college auditions and much more. March 13-17, 2024 in Mobile, AL. This is SETC's 75th anniversary. |
